Chapter 01 - Foreword

It was the middle of summer in the land of Wyrethos. The intense heat did not bother the busy dwellers of that district. Wyrethos is one of the largest districts of the Trideck nation. Here, summer lasted two months, and winter lasted forever. Yet, people in those days were as busy as they were, they had to help replenish their debt. The Trideck government had wasted a lot of money on military operations on conquering outside territory. All of these attempts went to dust and all they did was ruining the country's infrastructure. But the people of Trideck were optimistic, they started to then act as a monolith, they all strived to help the government - because they wanted to live a peaceful and luxurious life. Yes, they were greedy.

But not all of them wanted to continue to do so. There was a group of people, or rather, a large group of... well, swordsmen with special powers, known as Deagorans. The most powerful Deagoran of each district was entitled as the mayor. They were also known as Rhitireans. Rhitireans were said to be one of the most wealthiest of people, they did not have to pay taxes, and they got a long lasting pensions after retirement. However, Rhititreans had to put their lives on the line - since they were the most powerful of Deagorans, they were continuously challenged by  many Deagorans. Thus, the Rhitirean position was a risky and temporary one.

A Deagoran battle was regarded as a dangerous sport, a barbaric sport. This is because a Dicolite (Deagoran battle) had a simple rule -  the one who gets killed loses. The battle is not over until one dies, so there is no turning back. Although this may, at first sight, be barbaric, there is certain system of formalities that needs to be followed for staging a Dicolite. There needs to be a written agreement known as Dicolegime, which states that both of the Deagorans are willing to sacrifice their lives for 'God'.

An ordinary human being can be 'turned' into a Deagoran. Deagorans are superhumans with high speed and strength potential. Their bodies exceed normal rates of metabolism, and thus facilitates for certain mystical performances. Deagorans have an ability to transfer their weight from one point to another, thus, allowing them to become light or change centre of gravity at will. Deagorans can also transform and transfer their chemical energy outside and turn them into other forms, matter, light, etc. Therefore, Deagorans can create anything from their stored energy. But it seems that 'God' has put some restrictions. Deagorans can only create the elementary forms of energy (fire, water, wind, earth and lightning), they cannot create living things. Any other forms cannot be created, and here surprisingly, research has discovered that it is only possible to create blades with respect to the weapons. Thus Deagorans are swordsmen.

It is said that all this energy and ability comes from a certain renewable energy, known as Deagyas. Deagyas was the 'God' that was mentioned earlier. Deagyas is said to be living within the centre of the Earth's surface. But no one has ever been able to reach the centre, ever.

Hence, this is the reason why Deagorans and especially Rhitireans, are respected so much . People fear that Deagyas will pass judgement on them. for not treating Deagorans with respect. That's why ordinary people cannot kill Deagorans, and vice versa. Only Deagorans can kill Deagoreans.

Deagorans are military weapons and most of them are government officials. This is because the Deagorans themselves fear Deagyas for not forgiving them to only enjoy their fortunes and not start fighting for their respective lands. The king, however, cannot be Deagoran as their Holy Trunk says, but a deep worshipper of Deagyas.
